RUCKED: Hello, are you Jane?
LADY BEHIND COUNTER: Yes.
RUCKED: That’s handy, would you like to help with some predictions? We’d like to know who you think will win out of Gloucester and Ospreys?
JANE: Who are Gloucester and Ospreys? Is that rugby?
RUCKED: Yes.
JANE: I don’t know anything about them, shall I guess? Hold on, I’ll ask Sue: ‘Sue, who’s going to win out of Gloucester and Ospreys?’
(Sue emerges from kitchen) ‘Gloucester’
‘Do you know rugby then Sue?’
‘No, but I think they’re stronger’.
RUCKED: Do you know where Ospreys are based?
JANE: London somewhere?
RUCKED: Erm, no, it’s Neath and Swansea in Wales.
SUE: Oh bloody hell, the Welsh – Neath are good aren’t they?
JANE: You should ask your Karen’s father-in-law, he’s Welsh…
RUCKED: Not to worry, so you’re saying Gloucester?
SUE: I think they could win.
JANE: Don’t trust her though, she changes her mind all the time.
RUCKED: Well, we will this time. Now Bath v Parma?
JANE: Where’s Parma? Is it foreign? Is it Spanish?
RUCKED: It’s Italian.
JANE: Bath I think, they’re a good team aren’t they? I wouldn’t mind going to Bath, they’ve got Roman baths there haven’t they? You put your feet in them and they get mended…
RUCKED: Would you like to go to Italy?
JANE: No, I saw a series on the telly about Italy, it’s supposed to be a bit smelly over there apparently.
RUCKED: How about Harlequins v Cardiff?
SUE: Harlequins, haven’t they got Lawrence Dallaglio?
JANE: Aren’t Cardiff supposed to be good?
SUE: Harlequins I’d say...
